Dear parents and/or guardians of the applicant,
Before completing the application, please read the following information about the philosophy and mission of our conservatory.

The Washington Heights Community Conservatory of Fine Arts (WHCCFA) was created with the purpose of providing high quality arts education to students with economic limitations that posses an artistic talent and are interested in pursuing a career at a professional level. Our class schedule goes from Monday to Friday (from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM) and on Saturdays (from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM). We focus on orchestral instruments and currently DO NOT offer piano as a concentration.

If the candidate is accepted into our conservatory, he/she will be with us for a minimum of 8 years. For this reason, we require that all parents or guardians make sure that each child has the time and space to practice every day at home. All students receive a full scholarship, and in some cases, we provide the instruments. For this reason, once your child chooses his preferred instrument, he/she can not change it in the course of his career at the conservatory.

Given the number of applications received during the year and to facilitate the admission process, all communication will be made primarily through the email whcconservatory@gmail.com. Please be sure to save it in your contacts. We can not guarantee to interview all candidates as interviews are scheduled according to current available spots.

Please answer the following questions to expedite the admission process.
